HOMER, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Cortland County are paying their respects to a fallen firefighter.

A 37-year-old firefighter in Buffalo died on Wednesday while battling a downtown blaze. Crews from Cortlandville and Homer offered their thoughts and prayers on Facebook.

The Truxton Fire Department also showed its solidarity.
