CAYUGA HEIGHTS, NY (607NewsNow) — Property maintenance legislation in Cayuga Heights is no longer up for debate.
Village trustees recently passed a law that requires lawns be maintained at a maximum height of 10 inches. It also bans boats and vehicles from being placed on front yards.
Property owners who fail to make corrections after being notified could receive a $150 fine.
Village Mayor Linda Woodard calls the law an “experiment.” It passed unanimously.
