CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A new way to be colorful and creative is coming to Cortland.

Soon you’ll be able to do an abstract painting without the hassle of cleaning up at Splat Sumthin’ Paint Room. Steve Williams owns and runs the business with his wife Goldie. He tells WHCU their lease starts in June, adding it will take a while to prepare the space, but they’re hopeful to open over the summer.

Once open, Splat Sumthin’ will offer solo and group sessions, parties, and team-building outings. The space will be able to accommodate up to 12 people. It will be located at 41 Central Avenue in Cortland and open Monday through Saturday.

If you’d like to learn what Splat Sumthin’ is all about, there will be a “Spontaneous Splat” pop-up paint room at Cortland’s Juneteenth Festival this year, sponsored by SUNY Cortland and TC3. You can also find out more on their website.
