WAVERLY, N.Y. (WHCU) – Traffic delays are likely next week in Waverly.

The Department of Public Works will begin milling in the village on Monday, and some of the roads may be fully or partially closed during construction. Officials say paving will follow on the week of May 27. On-street parking will not be permitted.  The work will begin at 7 a.m. each day, weather permitting.

Affected Roadways

  • Route 17C from Tracy Road to County Route 60 line
  • Johnson Street between Chemung and Broad Street
  • Tioga Street from Park Avenue to Waverly Street
  • Lincoln Street from Division Street to Barton Line
  • Pennsylvania Avenue from Chemung Street to Elm Street
  • Pine Street between Chemung Street and Broad Street
  • Fulton Street from railroad tracks to South Waverly Line
  • Ithaca Street from Chemung Street to Cayuta Avenue
  • Wilbur Street from Spring Street to Hospital Place
