ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — There’s a new snow and ice policy in Ithaca.

On Monday, the Town Board approved guidelines related to plowing and winter driving. Board member Rob Rosen says the policy will come in handy.

“This is going to be useful for members of the public who are curious about what happens, you know, if their mailbox is damaged, or when’s the plow going to get to their road,” he says. “And it provides like a level of reassurance to the members of the public that there’s some method to what’s going on.”

The guidelines saw unanimous approval.
