DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — A 44-year-old Dryden man is accused of assault.
Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne says Jeffrey Myers got into an argument around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 while his vehicle was being repossessed in the 200 block of Lake Rd.
“Upon arrival, deputies learned that a repossession worker had attempted to repossess a vehicle when a homeowner confronted the worker. The worker provided proof of bank repossession documents despite the homeowner’s defiance,” Osborne said.
Myers allegedly choked and struck the worker repeatedly in the face with elbow strikes. He’s charged with assault and obstruction of breathing.
