WAVERLY, NY (607NewsNow) – An animal shelter and adoption center in Waverly is getting a boost.
On October 6, Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA received a $14,560 grant for critical upgrades.
The award comes from Al Fargnoli and Debby Darsky-Fargnoli of the Fargnoli Charitable Foundation. The money will be used for critical upgrades to the shelter’s cat-holding area and new surgical equipment for its spay and neuter program.
The Fargnoli Charitable Foundation supports youth, families, and animals in need in Apalachin, Owego, and other nearby Southern Tier communities. The group says its mission is to build a stronger community by supporting local nonprofits that create meaningful, positive change.
