CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — A homeless man is wanted for a stabbing in Cortland.

Police say a warrant was issued Monday for 38-year-old Henry Monroe. An unnamed victim was reportedly stabbed Sunday night on Main St. They’re in critical but stable condition after hours-long surgeries. Cortland Police believe Monroe has left the city, but they’re not ending the search.

Authorities also say the alleged incident was a “targeted act of violence” and that Monroe and the victim are “acquaintances.”
