LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) — Calling hours for a former Ithaca College and Cornell coach are tomorrow.
Douglas Dake passed away April 11 at his Lansing home. Dake, who was 62, was Ohio’s first state wrestling champion. He later coached wrestling in Lansing for over 20 years and served on the Lansing Town Board for eight years.
Calling hours are tomorrow from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lansing Funeral Home followed by a service at Lutheran United Methodist Church at four o’clock.
Dake’s son Kyle, also a standout wrestler, is competing in the Olympics this summer in France.
