ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County is getting more money for the Rapid Medical Response Program.
Senator Lea Webb announced Tuesday $300,000 is included in the 2025 state budget to support the program, which is still in the first few weeks of a two-year pilot. Tompkins County Legislative Chair Dan Klein spoke to WHCU shortly after Webb concluded her remarks.
It leaves 40-percent to be figured out.
Senator Webb says the pilot program has already decreased wait times during medical emergencies.
