CAYUGA HEIGHTS, NY (607NewsNow) — A Tompkins County village will see higher sewer rates.
On Wednesday, lawmakers in Cayuga Heights unanimously approved a 25 percent increase. The new rates take effect on Jan. 1.
Cayuga Heights Mayor Linda Woodard said the increase will help pay for roof repairs at the village’s sewer plant. She expects the repairs to cost about $50,000.
