ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – There’s a new permanent leader in the Tompkins County Attorney’s Office.
The county has been trying to fill the position since former county attorney Bill Troy resigned last September. The Legislature unanimously approved the appointment of Maury Josephson on Tuesday night.
Josephson leaving the Ithaca City Attorney’s Office to accept the position. He says he’s grateful for his time working for the city but is ready for the next challenge.
Josephson will officially begin his newly appointed role on May 28.
