TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) – No swimming at Taughannock Falls State Park.

Just a day after reopening from a previous harmful algal bloom, another bloom is active at the swimming beach.

Park officials will make an announcement when the water is clear. Anyone swimming or boating on Cayuga Lake is advised to remain diligent and avoid contact with any water you suspect may contain toxic algae.

If you spot a suspected bloom, report it to the Community Science Institute.
