ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca woman is facing several charges after an early morning traffic stop.
Ithaca Police Officers pulled a vehicle over near the intersection of North Aurora Street and East Court Street for traffic violations at approximately 2:27 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say 32-year-old Amanda Linderberry falsely identified herself and was later found to have a suspended driver’s license.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered the vehicle was recently stolen from a local dealership in Ithaca. Authorities say they found a small amount of “suspected Methamphetamine,” as well.
Linderberry is charged with felony grand larceny, misdemeanor false personation, misdemeanor drug possession, and misdemeanor unlicensed operation, as well as two traffic violations.
Linderberry has been in the news recently for other alleged crimes. She was found to have an active bench warrant through Tompkins County Court for attempted burglary. She was arraigned and is being held in Tompkins County Jail on $1500 bail.
