DANBY, NY (607NewsNow) — A proposed law in Danby needs more revision.
The Danby Town Board is still crafting regulations for special events. The proposed law, which has been under consideration since April, would establish rules for obtaining permits and obeying noise limits.
Danby Town Supervisor Joel Gagnon said some residents think the proposed permit process is “too burdensome.” The legislation would require South Hill Cider and similar businesses to obtain permits for large gatherings.
Gagnon said a second public hearing might be held in September, once the legislation is revised. An initial hearing was held July 7 at Danby Town Hall.
