ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca is launching the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) planning process.
On July 14, the City of Ithaca will hold its first Local Planning Committee (LPC) meeting, following the announcement that Ithaca won the state’s $10 million development grant in April.
At the meeting, members of the committee, which includes residents, business owners, community and municipal leaders, and other local stakeholders, will be introduced. Members will provide an overview of the DRI process and schedule and begin discussions on investment goals in the project area, which includes the West State Street corridor and areas surrounding The Commons.
The meetings will be held monthly, open to the public, and will include a 10-minute public comment period, when attendees can provide feedback, ask questions, and contribute ideas. Click here for more information on the DRI process.
The July 14 meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the BorgWarner West room at the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca.
