ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Interim head coach Jon Jaques has been appointed head coach of Cornell men’s basketball.

Jaques has spent the last 11 years on the coaching staff, including the last two as associate head coach, and was named the temporary head coach just two weeks ago after former head coach Brian Earl resigned to be the head coach at William and Mary College.

Jaques played four years for the Big Red and was a senior captain on the 2009-2010 team that won 29 games and made it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament.
