BERKSHIRE, N.Y. (WHCU) — Federal funding is paying for a new sign in Tioga County.

FEMA recently awarded the Berkshire Fire Department $29,000. Fire Commissioners Chairman Jim Simmons hopes the sign can attract more volunteers.

The department also recently received a new pumper tanker truck.
