Prior to coaching, Smith played four seasons at Bryn Mawr College. She accumulated 1125 career points.

“Jess was a phenomenal Division III player and remains passionate about the transformative and holistic student-athlete experience,” Ithaca College Women’s Basketball Head Coach Erin Hughes said. “Her love for the game, positive energy, and relentless drive will elevate everyone in our program.”

Hughes was hired in May to replace former head coach Dan Raymond.
