Cortland FD remembers former Old Forge fire chief

CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) — A former fire commissioner in Herkimer County is being remembered by the Cortlandville Fire Department.

Tony Tormey had a long tenure with the Old Forge Fire Department, eventually taking the lead role.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Cortlandville Fire Department paid tribute to Tormey’s recent passing while noting the two departments have formed a bond over the years.
