Webb sponsors bill declaring Nov. 26 Sojourner Truth Day

ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — Senator Lea Webb is sponsoring legislation to declare November 26 as Sojourner Truth Day in New York. 

Webb says Truth was a trailblazer for women’s rights and abolition.

Truth died November 26, 1883.

Webb chairs the Women’s Issues Committee in the state Senate.
