ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Classes at Cornell will be paused April 8 for the total solar eclipse.
Provost Michael Kotlikoff says the Ithaca and Geneva campuses will have a chance to view the rare eclipse, which will be visible in the northeast for the first time in 99 years. Classes will be paused between three and four o’clock.
Ithaca’s view of the eclipse will be partial starting at 2:08, while Geneva is in the direct path of the eclipse with maximum totality beginning at 3:22.
