ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Officials at Cornell say inflation is causing tuition to rise.

The Cornell Chronicle reports undergraduate tuition will increase by about five percent next school year. Provost Michael Kotlikoff says the university is committed to controlling costs while maintaining the quality of its education.

Around half of the undergrads at the Ivy League institution receive grants from the university.
