MORAVIA, NY (607NewsNow) – Residents in the affected parts of the village no longer need to boil their water.
On May 18, the Cayuga County Health Department lifted the boil water order after successful testing found no harmful microbes in the water.

The order was issued on May 14 following a power outage that caused a loss of pressure in the water line.
Residents on parts of Skinner Hill Road, State Route 38A, Dresserville Road, and Breeds Road were forced to boil their water before using it for drinking, food preparation, making ice, washing dishes, and brushing their teeth.
