MARATHON, N.Y. (WHCU) — One man is receiving medical care after a shooting in Marathon.

Early Saturday morning, police responded to a home on Tim Hill Road. They say a 54-year-old man was having a mental health crisis.

The man allegedly pointed a gun at authorities; he was then shot by a trooper.

Police say the man is in critical but stable condition at a hospital. His identity has not yet been released.
