CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cortland County is in the early stages of creating a new strategic development plan. 

Trish Hiemstra is the county’s planning director, and she says the plan called Elevate Cortland would serve as a living document. 

Hiemstra adds a big part of the process is hearing from the public.

The first of five public meetings on the plan called Elevate Cortland is next Tuesday, March 19, at the Marathon Civic Center.
