BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WHCU) — Two Binghamton Police officers are recovering after an alleged assault involving teens.

WBNG-TV reports authorities responded on Monday night to Benjamin Franklin Elementary School. Police say an ATV was being ridden on the baseball field.

Officers reportedly tried making an arrest, which caused an altercation. One officer was allegedly punched in the jaw and the other was kicked in the head.

Authorities arrested 24-year-old Nathaniel Price and a 17-year-old juvenile. They’re charged with resisting arrest; more charges are expected.
