ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A popular Ithaca deli is getting recognition from Albany. 

Senator Lea Webb has presented the New York State Empire Business Award to Chuck Dong, owner of Shortstop Deli. The award recognizes excellence in business.

Dong says the impact of Covid is still being felt, adding it’s important to continue supporting local businesses. The Shortstop Deli first opened in 1978.
