ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Students at Cornell are reacting to a recent academic change.
In December, the Faculty Senate voted to stop posting median grades on transcripts. The move is meant to encourage academic risk taking.
However, sophomore Priyanka Desai disagrees with the change. She tells the Cornell Daily Sun, median grades give context to her hard engineering courses.
Other students say the move could be helpful for classes that are based more on personal growth.
