DRYDEN, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Town of Dryden has been recognized for its commitment to housing growth.

Dryden is one of 20 municipalities that have been certified by New York as Pro-a Housing Community, a first-of-its-kind initiative that gives them priority consideration for access to as much as $650 million in state discretionary funding. Governor Hochul says the state is still processing more than 60 additional applications.

The Village of Johnson City and the City of Binghamton join Dryden as the only localities in the Southern Tier in this round of certifications.
