ULYSSES, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Town of Ulysses will not buy a large lot of land.

Lawmakers wanted to purchase 30 acres on Kraft Road. The land would’ve been used for recreation.

In a special election on Wednesday, residents decided against that plan. Unofficial results show 64 percent of voters opposed the proposal.

Town leaders will now reconsider how to spend the remaining money from the American Rescue Plan.
