LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) — Some people in Lansing had an early awakening this morning.
Authorities responded to a fire at the Gaslight Village Apartments around 4:30 AM. Liam Kelleher lives in a nearby unit; he tells WHCU he quickly left his bed.
“My wife said there was a fire, so we grabbed our kid and got outside,” he says.

Lansing Fire Chief Brad George tells WHCU there are no reports of injuries.
“The one occupant with the fire building, she made it out safely and everybody else self-evacuated,” he says.
George estimates five fire departments responded to the scene. The cause remains under investigation.
