ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca’s airport is one of several in the region getting new funding from Washington.

The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport will receive nearly $1.4 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Nine airports across upstate are getting the funding for air traffic control upgrades, improved communication systems, and airport infrastructure.

Other funding includes slightly over $1 million for Binghamton’s airport and $144,000 for the airport in Cortland.
