UPDATE: 1:30 P.M. 11/28 – The Dryden School District has shared that the animals were incorrectly identified as bulls. They are feeder cows, and three are still missing.

DRYDEN, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities in Dryden are trying to corral three escaped cows.
The Dryden School District says they received a report that four of the animals escaped the Livestock Auction House over Thanksgiving break, and only one has been captured so far. The Auction House is located across the street from Dryden Elementary School.
Recess at Dryden Elementary School has been moved indoors out of an abundance of caution. The last known sighting of the cows was Monday night in front of the Dryden Fire House. District officials want parents to be aware of the situation when dropping off or picking up their kids. Auction House staff is working with the Village of Dryden Police Department to locate the animals and have said they’ll update the district with any new information as it comes in.
