LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) – Volleyball players at Lansing High School have a little more to be thankful for this week.
The Bobcats won their first State Championship in the sport on Sunday in Glens Falls, defeating Section III champion Westhill in the Class B title game at Cool Insuring Arena. Lansing dominated all weekend at the state tournament and finished with an overall record of 35-5-6.
The girls were welcomed home by a large group of community members, including the Lansing Fire Department, and an escort onto school grounds by Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies.
