TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) — What was once a campsite owned by the Boy Scouts is now Three Falls State Park.
New York State Park officials unveiled the new name last week. The 90-acre property, which was sold to NY Parks in 2024, will be managed by a local development corporation that consists of the village of Trumansburg and the towns of Ulysses and Covert.
Trumansburg Mayor Rordan Hart tells 607 News Now the group is tasked with specific responsibilities.
The LDC has created a draft plan which serves as an outline for how the property can “best be utilized,” Hart said.
Hart added all the work proposed would take about a decade to complete.
