NEWARK VALLEY, N.Y. (WHCU) — A deadline is approaching for a tree decorating event.

The Village of Newark Valley is gearing up for Lighting of the Green. Applications for the holiday-themed event are due by Tuesday. The cost is $40 per tree.

Lighting of the Green happens on December 9.
