ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — No one was injured after two reported fires in Ithaca.
The Ithaca Fire Department says crews were called late Wednesday night to a structure fire behind businesses on Fairgrounds Memorial Parkway. Exploding propane cylinders and burning lithium-ion batteries made the fire worse, but firefighters were able to extinguish it.
A couple hours later, firefighters were called to Therm Incorporated on Hudson Street. Officials say a large machine malfunctioned and caught fire. IFD was there for about an hour.
