ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cornell Police are increasing patrols after violent threats were made online to the Jewish community on campus.

CUPD will be more visible and has arranged for additional security for Jewish students and organizations on and off campus. Officials say they’re in constant contact with these groups, and instructors are offering virtual classroom options and flexibility for students who don’t feel safe.

The school is making mental health and other support resources available to students, faculty, and staff. Anyone being harassed or threatened should contact the Public Safety Communications Center at 607-255-1111, or through the RAVE Guardian app. Anonymous reports can also be made through the Silent Witness Program. Officials are asking anyone with information to come forward.
