TRUXTON, NY (607NewsNow) – Several students are recovering after a school bus crash in Truxton.

On February 9, multiple agencies were called to Singleton and South Hill Roads around 8:30 a.m. for a reported crash.

A Homer School District bus slid off the roadway and turned on its side in a ditch. The bus was carrying 11 elementary school-aged students, the driver, and a school aide.

According to State Police, two 7-year-olds and a 9-year-old were transferred to Upstate University Hospital with two head injuries and a hand injury.

The remaining students and staff were picked up by another bus and transported back to the Homer School District.
