ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A new project will improve accessibility at Ithaca College.
An elevator addition is going to be built on campus. Architect Vincent Nicotra says it’ll do more than move students up and down.
“What it actually is doing is providing accessibility both through an elevator and a covered walkway link, that will connect basically three buildings,” he says.
The addition will be constructed near the Terrace Dining Hall.
The Town of Ithaca Planning Board approved the project on Tuesday.
