LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) – No injuries were reported after a fire in Lansing.

Firefighters from the Lansing Volunteer Fire Department responded to the Cargill Salt Mine on Friday afternoon for a report of a payloader on fire near a structure.

Nine responders were able to bring the blaze under control. The Genoa Fire Department was on standby for backup service.
