CAYUGA HEIGHTS, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cayuga Heights Planning Board has rejected a project.

An apartment building addition at a former fraternity home at 306 Highland Road had been under consideration for several months. In a unanimous vote, the board disapproved the site plan on Sept. 29.

The group determined the proposed number and dimensions of parking spaces were not compliant with the village’s zoning law. The board also determined it would be “unwise” to ask the site to accommodate additional density.

In 2018, the board approved plans for a smaller addition at the site, though construction has not yet taken place.
