HOMER, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland man is awaiting his day in court after an investigation into sex abuse allegations.

On Friday, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of sex abuse allegations that had occurred two days earlier at an undisclosed location in the Town of Homer. After a brief investigation, 37-year-old Spencer Burns was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burns is accused of subjecting a minor to inappropriate sexual contact. He is charged with a felony of committing a criminal sexual act and a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child. Burns will appear in court tomorrow night at 7.
