ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A new forensic counselor is helping Tompkins County law enforcement.

Michelle Fulkerson recently started the job. Sheriff Derek Osborne says the county is lucky to have her.

“We’re very fortunate to get somebody to take that position and that certainly provides a huge benefit to our incarcerated people,” he says.

Osborne adds Fulkerson’s transition has been smooth.
