ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca will host an info session on the impacts of FEMA’s updated flood maps.

Officials will be on hand next week to discuss if your property is at an increased risk, what insurance options are available, and where to find information resources. Guests include flood insurance specialist Val Van Gorder, of Bailey Place Insurance, and Municipal Planning Staff.

The public outreach event is open to residents of the City and Town of Ithaca, as well as Tompkins County.

The meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. at Ithaca Town Hall. It will also be offered virtually.
