CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – Cortland County will benefit from state funding.
On July 2, Governor Kathy Hochul announced over $36 million in grants for 48 projects across the state as part of New York’s County Infrastructure Grant Program.
Cortland County has received $500,000 to develop a new groundwater supply well at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex, located at 3111 Byrne Hollow Crossing in Cortlandville.
Additional anticipated upgrades include a new pump house, electrical service, piping for chlorine contact time, and pipe connection to the existing water main.
According to Hochul’s office, the improvements will allow for future industrial, commercial, and residential growth along the Route 13 corridor.
In related news, Tompkins County has received a $1 million infrastructure grant that will aid Ithaca’s Southworks project.
