DANBY, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Danby are extending their condolences to the Newark, New Jersey Fire Department.

Two firefighters died Wednesday night while battling a blaze on a cargo ship. Authorities with West Danby Fire and Rescue call it the “ultimate sacrifice.”

They say their love goes out to the families of the fallen firefighters.
