GENOA, NY (607NewsNow) – A home is a total loss after a fire in Cayuga County.

On June 20, the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire just before 5 a.m. on Bradley Street.

Two occupants safely exited the house before firefighters arrived. Crews were able to contain the fire to its origin and protect two nearby buildings. Eight agencies assisted, and Genoa units were back in service by 9:30 a.m.

No word on the cause of the fire.
