CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – Some people are displaced after a fire in Cortlandville.
On June 4, the Cortlandville Fire Department was called to an apartment complex on Homestead Avenue for a reported fire. A hazmat team was called in after responding units received different accounts of what caused the blaze.
Crews were able to confine the fire to the room of origin, though the apartment was significantly damaged from flames and smoke. The apartment underneath also sustained water damage.
No injuries were reported, and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control is investigating the cause.
